An infinite number of images are formed of an object placed
between two parallel mirrors. The positions of the images may be found by the
usual construction, remembering that each image seen in one mirror will act as
a virtual object and produce an image in the other mirror.
Two parallel plane mirrors should be set up to examine the
images of a candle or other object placed between them. The more remote images,
the fainter they become, since some of the light energy is absorbed by the
mirrors at each successive reflection.
